The Seed24 is essentially the same product as the regular Capsule, with a few usability enhancements. The key differences are the holes for mounting the tamper-evident seal and the core that is not permanently attached to the capsule shell cap, allowing for more flexibility.
The Seed24 has the same capacity, dimensions, and is made from the same materials as the original Capsule. Additionally, all components are backward compatible, so if you have letter tiles from a Capsule Solo set, you can use them with the Seed24 and vice versa. Essentially, the Seed24 is an upgraded version of the regular Capsule.

The Cotter-pin is a redesigned and improved version of the Fastener used in the Cryptosteel Capsule. Its double-sided design prevents both incorrect installation and accidental detachment, making the whole setup safer and more reliable. In the past, some users would install two fasteners side by side for extra security. While the new Cotter Pin makes that unnecessary due to its improved design, you can still use two if you want that extra layer of security.

Shell capsules and steel cores are interchangeable within their respective sizes — meaning a Seed12 core fits any Seed12 shell, and Seed24 cores can be used with any Seed24-compatible capsule.
In addition, character tiles, separators, and fasteners from the original Cryptosteel Capsule are fully compatible with both Seed12 and Seed24 lines. This allows users to repurpose existing components, expand their setup, or build new backups using the leftover parts.
